The 5th Annual Smoke on the Water BBQ Festival is Kelowna’s signature event to start off the summer.

To be held this year on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19th, 2011, the Festival provides a family oriented community event showcasing Kelowna’s scenic downtown waterfront and a professional “Southern Style” BBQ competition.

2010 saw over 8,000 people attend, witnessing the professional “Southern Style” BBQ competition and enjoying the Entertainment Stage, Kidzone, BBQ Market Place and beer garden.

Each year this festival has grown in popularity both with more and more professional teams traveling to Kelowna to participate and increasing number of spectators. It is in large part due to the support of businesses like yours that allow us to continue to grow this event year over year.

The following package outlines many great sponsorship opportunities for your organization, but if nothing in the package suits your specific needs we are happy to work with you to tailor a custom package.

Title Sponsorship – $5000:

The platinum level of sponsorship offers the best overall value to any business looking to get involved with the event. As the title sponsor of the event your businesses name will be mentioned every time the event gets mentioned; whether that is on the radio, in print media, on television, and on the microphone the day of the event. If you want to get your name out in the community, this is the best way to do it.

The package includes:

  • Your name with the Event Name on all printed materials
  • Your name mentioned with the Event Name in all radio ads
  • Recognition as the primary sponsor in all press releases
  • Your name/logo on all promotional materials leading up to the event
  • Primary logo placement on all event signage and banners
  • Primary logo placement and link to your website on the event website
  • Logo placement on Media sponsor Power 104 and Q103 websites
  • 3 minutes of stage time for a company representative to make remarks prior to announcement of the competition’s Grand Champion
  • Company representative to announce winner of the 50/50 draw
  • Three competition judging spots for company representatives or partners*
  • One entry into the professional competition
  • One 20×20 or 10×40 vendor/information booth
  • Promotional materials in “Swag Bags” for all competitors
  • Three one-year memberships in the Kelowna Jaycees

Event Sponsorship – $1000:

At this level of sponsorship your company gets the naming rights to one of our competitions or event areas. You will have your choice of the Pro Competition, the Kidzone, or the BBQ Market.

Event sponsorship gives all the benefits of the Festival Partner Level PLUS:

  • A significantly increased number of mentions in our $30,000 worth of radio ads
  • 2 minutes of stage time for a company representative to make remarks before the winner of your competition is announced (competition sponsorship)
  • Name and/or Logo on event area sign (event area sponsorship)
  • Secondary logo placement on all event signage and banners
  • An additional judging spot for a company representative or partner
  • An upgrade to a 10×20 vendor/information booth
  • An additional one year membership in the Kelowna Jaycees

Festival Sponsorship – $500:

The package includes:

  • Your business name/logo on all promotional materials for the event
  • Your business name mentioned in some of our radio ads, time permitting
  • A tertiary logo placement on all event signage and banners
  • A tertiary logo placement and link to your website on the event website
  • One competition judging spot for a company representative or partner
  • One 10×10 vendor/information booth
  • Promotional materials in “Swag Bags” for all competitors
  • One one-year membership in the Kelowna Jaycees
