Your Exposure

We understand that businesses get approached for sponsorship all the time, so we endeavour to give our sponsors as much value for their money as possible. One of the ways we achieve this is through exposure at several different levels.

Radio

Power 104 and Q103 are our official media sponsors and they provided us with over $30,000 worth of airtime to promote our event and our sponsors last year. They will also be working with their affiliates in Vernon, B.C. and the rest of the Interior to help promote the event.

Web

The Smoke on the Water website is currently being updated for 2011 and will re-launch shortly. All sponsors will have their logos displayed on our site along with links to their websites if they wish. Traffic is driven to our website through our radio, print, and sign advertising along with links from media and community websites. The title sponsor will also have their logo displayed on the Power 104 and Q103 radio station websites. Event sponsors may also have their logos displayed on the Power 104 and Q103 websites, space permitting.

Community Advertising

We will be hanging signs and posters in businesses around the community not only to drive attendance to the event, but also to help build awareness of our sponsors.

Event Banners and Signage

In previous years we have had several ‘sandwich board’ style signs around the event. This year we will add several more signs as well as some high quality banners in order to prominently display our sponsors’ logos.

BBQ Market Booths

Last year’s BBQ market was a huge hit and was busy all day. All sponsors will receive a spot to set up a booth for their business at no additional cost. This is a great opportunity for you or your sales and/or marketing team to interact with the consumer directly.

Television and Print

We are currently working with local television and print media to ensure that the event receives the maximum amount of coverage. At this time details have not been worked out to the point where we feel comfortable promising anything to our potential sponsors. Last year we received significant exposure (front page) in the Capital News and Daily Courier as well as on Shaw TV and Castanet.net. We will work diligently to ensure continued television and print exposure for your business, but we never want to promise something to a partner that we are unable to deliver.

Swag Bags

All teams competing in the event will receive a “Swag Bag” upon arrival to the event. These bags will contain an event T-Shirt, small gifts, coupons, and promotional materials from our sponsors. This is a great opportunity for business to advertise to a very specific demographic.
